CB:
CB has raced for more than fifty years, coached for 30 and attended numerous camps and clinics. The absolute best tip he can give you is to buy and study Al Hobarts's COMPLETE CARVING MADE EASY DVD or VHS video...
The DVD is the clearest and simplest and most inclusive ski racing video I have ever seen...
The video teaches a sequence appropriate for the inexperienced racer but which is instructive to even the venerable CB...
Hobart is exceptionally clear and concise. The running time of the video is about one and one half hours and contains instruction that could take a less orderly and less articulate coach ten hours to deliver. -- CB'S TIPS FOR INTERMEDIATE RACERS, THE WATERVILLE VALLEY WIG WAG

Phil Hart - Cazenovia, NY:
I would just like to say "thanks" for the world that you opened up for me... the best video I have seen.
I am 60+ (5'6" - 220lbs) and love to ski - more precisely, carve! I watch your video at least once a week- it is just fantastic! I brought the video to the attention of a local college coach as well as a ski school director and they both went out and got their own copy! -- Phil Hart, Cazenovia, N.Y.

Dr. Richard Greene, (PHD, M.I.T.):
I am a recreational skier and a weekend NASTAR racer. I have striven to improve every year but never made as much progress as when I obtained your flip-book on carving turns and your DVD. Your progression and explanations made a big difference in my skiing and understanding of ski technique. Your clarity and sensible presentation contrast very much with other
instructional materials that provide little more than an encyclopedia of turn types and photos of what they look like. I recommend you and your products to anyone who will listen to me. -- Dr. Richard Greene, PHD--M.I.T.

Michael K. Smolek, PHD - Asst. Research Professor of Ophthalmology - Louisiana State University School of Medicine:
I purchased your Carving Turns Made Easy video and I think it is excellent! I just started skiing this season at age 48 with private instructors, and your video has been very helpful in my progress. I've been having a blast! I wish I had started skiing years ago.
The things I enjoyed most were the stepwise progression of the instruction and the technical description of why each step was leading me toward more speed and better control. I've been watching other people skiing on the slopes, and I know that if they could see your video, they would all improve and have more fun. When I first tried out the method, I was amazed at how easily and quickly I could control my direction. And since I'm still a relative beginner, I didn't have to unlearn a lot of bad habits, but picked up your techniques very quickly.

Stuart Bray, U.K.:
You are the most thoughtful coach/instructor I have ever encountered. I have made more progress in a few weeks with your method than literally years (even decades) of effort in more traditional methods. -- Stuart Bray, U.K.

Pat Ryan, No address provided:
Just finished watching your video. Fantastic job. You have a real gift for teaching the real elements of carving in a very no-nonsense sort of way (a rarity indeed, in my experience).

You allowed me to ski faster, more confidently, and more analytically... and today was a blast. Thanks.

John Puestow, Hartland, Wisc.:
Everyone thinks they are carving a turn, but the Gorilla Turn gives them an opportunity to feel what a carved turn really feels like... It's a wonderful exercise to get me carving and bending that ski.

A.J. Kitt, (World Championship Downhill Silver Medalist):
A friend of mine, a NASTAR racer, asked me to look at your DVD because it helped him so much. I quickly scanned through the program and found it to be very focused and basic instead of complex and confusing. I like simplicity. Congratulations on developing a system that works. --A.J. George Cybulski, Montreal:
I am a 64 year old skier, and I have been skiing now for over 40 years. Since skiing is my life passion, I got interested when I stumbled onto your web site, and I ordered a video. I ski on an average of 30 days per season, so I consider myself a good solid skier. But one thing that eluded me was carving ability. Until now, that is. I kept watching your video before season's start... and when the season started I followed your instruction religiously. It paid off.
Now I begin to carve on more difficult and steeper runs. I feel secure and confident. On very steep runs I wish my skis had a shorter turning radius,... but I am learning how to tighten my turns by better ski angulation and outside ski pressure. I am living proof, that without outside instruction just following your outstanding video, even an old guy like me can learn how to carve and carve well. Thank you Mr. Hobart.
"Thank you, George. You made my day, and then some." --- Al Hobart
